Polite Leader Costume – The Purge
The first Freak Gang costume we will look at is the Polite Leader. There is a good chance you will already own most of what you will need to make this Purge costume.
Polite Leader Mask

Possibly the most important item you will need for this Freak Gang costume is the mask worn by the polite leader character.
The easiest thing to do here is simply buy a replica of the mask that the polite leader wears in The Purge. |
Polite Leader Blazer

You will need a blazer for this Freak Gang costume.
What you should look for here is a dark colored blazer with an emblem on the left breast of the jacket. You can use the jacket of a suit and apply your own emblem if you wish. |
Polite Leader Necktie

The necktie that you will need for this Freak Gang costume from The Purge fits the style of the jacket you will be wearing.
Here you should look for a necktie which features a red tartan pattern. |
Polite Leader Shirt

Female Freak Mask

The easiest thing to do here is use a female specific Purge mask which are usually perfect replicas of what you see in the movie. |
Female Freak Dress

We would recommend using a long white dress or, even better, a white victorian style night gown. |
Female Freak Shoes

This character is often seen in The Purge wearing no shoes. However, bare feet may not be practical for a halloween costume or fancy dress.
The character is also seen wearing white ballet shoes which is what we would recommend. |
Female Freak Machete

The final part of this Purge costume is the Female Freak’s weapon of choice which is a machete.
We would not advise using a real machete. Instead we would recommend that you use a machete prop which would usually be made from foam or plastic. |
