Daredevil (Netflix) Overview
“Daredevil” is a television series that aired on Netflix from 2015 to 2018. It is based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, and follows the story of Matt Murdock, a blind lawyer who fights crime as a vigilante in New York City’s Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood.
The series was developed by Drew Goddard and produced by Marvel Television, and it features Charlie Cox as the titular character. The show received critical acclaim for its writing, acting, and action sequences, and it has a dedicated fan base.
In “Daredevil,” Murdock’s blindness is caused by a childhood accident involving a radioactive substance, rather than the result of a failed experiment as in the comics. As a result of the accident, Murdock’s other senses are heightened to superhuman levels, and he uses these abilities, as well as his extensive training in martial arts, to fight crime as Daredevil.
Throughout the series, Daredevil faces a variety of villains, including the Kingpin, Bullseye, and the Hand. He also works with other superheroes, including Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist, as part of the Defenders.
In addition to the main “Daredevil” series, there are also spin-off series featuring other characters from the show, including “The Punisher” and “Jessica Jones.”
