If you are a fan of Rocky movies then making your own Rocky Balboa costume is an excellent idea. A Rocky costume works well as a fancy dress costume or a halloween costume. Rocky Balboa Costume – Boxer Rocky

Rocky Robe

The first item of clothing you will need for the boxer version of your Rocky Balboa costume is a boxer robe. You could wear any old boxing robe but this will have people thinking that you are simply a boxer. Ideally you need to wear a robe which has a meat logo on the back or one of the many replica Rocky robes that are available. These robes have The Italian Stallion wrote on the back along with a logo. |

Rocky Shorts

Depending on the Rocky movie you watch the character wears a variety of color boxing shorts. For this reason you could actually wear any color boxing shorts.
However, we would recommend wearing a pair of American flag boxing shorts like Rocky wears from the third Rocky movie onwards. |

Rocky Boxing Gloves

You will need a pair of boxing gloves for this Rocky Balboa costume. There is no hard or fast rule as to the style or colour of the boxing gloves that you will need. However, Rocky tends to wear red boxing gloves in most of his fights. Therefore we would recommend a simple pair of red boxing gloves. |

When it comes to choosing a pair of boxing boots there really is no hard and fast rule. After all Rocky wears a variety of boxing boots throughout the Rocky franchise.
We would recommend that you choose to wear a pair of white Nike boxing boots for your Rocky Balboa costume. These are the boots he wears in Rocky 3. |

Rocky Balboa Costume – Rocky Jogging
The second option for a Rocky Balboa costume is the jogging Rocky costume. This is a very easy costume to make and is based on the character in the first two movies. Here is everything you will need for this version of the Rocky Balboa costume.
Rocky Sweatshirt

The first item of clothing you will need for this version of the Rocky Balboa costume is a light grey sweatshirt.
Rocky wears this sweatshirt over the top of a zip up hoodie. This grey sweatshirt also matches the jogging pants that Rocky wears while jogging. |

Rocky Hoodie

Rocky wears a light grey zip-up hoodie under his sweatshirt.
You should try and find a hoodie that is a similar grey to the sweatshirt. It is also important that you wear the hoodie with the hood hanging outside the sweatshirt. |

Rocky Jogging Pants

You will need a pair of loose or baggy jogging pants for this Rocky Balboa fancy dress.
The jogging pants you choose should ideally be a slightly lighter grey to the sweatshirt that you choose to wear. You should also try and find a pair of jogging pants that have a draw cord around the waist. |

It is unclear the exact brand of sneakers that Rocky wears when he is running.
However, they do appear to a pair of Converse All Star High Top sneakers. They also appear to be white in color. You can either wear a pair of converse or a similar style of sneakers for your Rocky Balboa costume. |

Rocky Beanie

In the scenes in Rocky where he pounds meat in the freezer he wears a black beanie hat.
For this version of the Rocky Balboa we would advise that you choose and wear a simple black beanie. |

Rocky Hand Tape

The final item you will need for this version of the Rocky Balboa fancy dress is boxing hand tape.
You will need a roll of white boxing hand tape which you should wrap both hands in. You could also add some red coloring to the hand tape to make it look like you have been pounding meat in the freezer. |
