In many peoples opinion the very best Terminator costume is the one based on the T-800 from Terminator 2: Judgement Day. While this Terminator costume is similar in many ways to that of other movies this version appears to be the most widely recognised.
Terminator Costume – Terminator 2: Judgment Day
When making a DIY Terminator costume based on the T-800 in the second movie you will dress mainly in black clothing. You can even add special makeup to replicate the look of the T-800 endoskeleton showing. Here is every item you will need to make a homemade DIY Terminator costume from the second Terminator movie.
Terminator Jacket

Starting with the upper half of the body you will need a leather jacket for this version of the Terminator costume.
This should be a classic black motorcycle leather jacket. It should look very much like what you would expect to see a Harley Davidson motorcycle rider to wear. |
Terminator T-Shirt

A simple black t-shirt will be needed for your T-800 costume.
This should be plain black with no logos or writing printed on it. |
Terminator Pants

A pair of motorcycle pants will be required for this Terminator costume.
These should be black leather motorcycle pants like the ones worn by the T-800 in the movie. |
Terminator Boots

You will need a pair of black boots for your Terminator costume.
These should be motorcycle boots that are the type you would expect a Harley Davidson rider to wear. |
Terminator Sunglasses

No T-800 costume would ever be complete without the use of sunglasses.
In Terminator 2: Judgement Day the T-800 wears a pair of sunglasses with black lenses and black frames. |
Terminator Gun

The T-800 uses many weapons in Terminator 2: Judgement Day.
We recommend, for practical purposes, that you use a shotgun like the character uses at the start of the movie. As you would suspect we would not recommend a real shotgun. Instead you could use an Airsoft shotgun. |
